Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Unit : Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP)

Start Date : December 1, 2025

End Date : March 2, 2026

Duration : 13-week travel nurse contract

Shift : 12 Hour Days (6 : 30 AM – 7 : 00 PM)

Hours per Week : 36

Electronic Medical Record : MedHost (inpatient), GE Centricity (OB), Athena (Clinic)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2,100 - $2,250 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unencumbered RN license (Registered Nurse)

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required

Strong clinical skills in critical thinking, scientific judgment, and nursing leadership

Ability to delegate and supervise patient care priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment

L&D Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients during antepartum triage, active labor, postpartum (mother and baby), and special care nursery

Apply the nursing process in compliance with the New Mexico Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies

Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education for travel nurses

Anticipate, plan, and ensure safe delivery of patient care in Labor & Delivery settings

Supervise and direct assigned healthcare personnel in patient care delivery

Accurately document patient care and progress using EMR systems (MedHost, GE Centricity, Athena)
