Database Administrator

A company is looking for an IT Database Administrator responsible for managing enterprise SQL Server and Oracle databases.

Key Responsibilities

Deploy, configure, and maintain SQL Server and Oracle databases in AWS environments

Monitor and optimize database performance, availability, and cost efficiency in AWS

Implement and manage backup, restore, and retention strategies using AWS-native and database tools

Required Qualifications

Associate degree (2-year degree) or BS / BA in Computer Science, Information Technology Certification preferred

Minimum three years' experience in a technician or similar applicable role

Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle administration

Experience managing databases in AWS environments (RDS, EC2, storage, networking)

Solid understanding of database architecture, indexing strategies, and query optimization
