What You'll Do

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of designing both standard and custom machinery systems that push the boundaries of what's possible. Your typical day will include:

• Collaborating with sales and management to design standard and custom machines and systems
• Creating designs across the spectrum - from tooling for existing systems to fully automated solutions
• Leading engineering projects and seeing your creative designs come to life
• Working alongside assembly teams, controls engineers and management to design and support solutions
• Contributing to technological development and future growth initiatives
• Designing and integrating with modern manufacturing processes

What You'll Bring

• Fundamental knowledge of mechanical design principles
• Strong experience in motion controls
• Understanding of current machine standards
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and servo systems
• Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D Software and AutoCAD
• Ability to conduct risk assessments
• Knowledge of automotive safety protocols
• Skills to design multiple machines/toolings simultaneously
• Experience with complete machine cells
• Technical writing abilities for manuals and documentation
• BOMs
