Job description

Mixed unit PCU, Med Surg Tele and Med Surg travelers will have all levels Position / Specialty : Observation Observation Unit Ratios : 1 : 4 all shifts Years of experience REQ : 2 years - Must be familiar with intermediate medication gtts (ie : heparin, nitro, cardizem, insulin, etc) Charge Experience Required First-timers accepted : (Y / N) Yes Weekend REQ : Yes every other Certs REQ : ACLS, BCLS, and NIH Is on-call REQ? (Y / N) What is the req? Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes - Floating within service line, floating between Toledo, Flower, Bay Park, & Wildwood facilities as needed. FLOAT UNITS : Neuro / Stroke, Cardiac, Orthopedic, Trauma, Oncology, General Surg, Uro / Vascular, Observation Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y / N) : No Locals accepted : (Y / N) What is the local radius rule? No local travelers 50 miles or less Pending License accepted : (Y / N) : No RTO Restrictions : Greater than 7 days will require Management approval Special Requirements : -Patient Age Group : Adults and Geriatrics - Patient Diagnoses Chest pain, Abdominal pain, Atrial Fibrillation, TIA, Anemia / GI Bleed, Dehydration / AKI, Syncope, Vertigo, COPD, Asthma, UTI / Pyelonephritis, Headache / Migraine, CHF, Seizure, Carbon Monoxide Poisoning, Pancreatitis, Cellulitis, Post-outpatient surgery complications, etc. - Special Procedures / Unit Details Around 2 / 3 of our patients are currently managed under our EDOBS providers located within the department from 7a - 7p and reachable via phone call to the ED from 7p - 7a. Fast pace department with a length of stay goal of 18 - 24 hours.
