Prestage Farms is seeking a Collector who will collect, train, feed and care for boars at the swine genetics complex.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collecting boar semen in a timely and efficient manner on a daily basis
- Properly feeding boars daily by pushing a feed cart once a day into breeding barn
- Training of new boars as needed
- Treating boars with medication as needed
- Keeping boar rooms clean at all times
- Helping to pull blood and detusk boars as needed
- Power washing boar rooms as needed (bi-annually)
- Work in isolation as needed
- Daily stock supplies in room
- Maintenance on buildings and equipment as needed
- May be required to do laundry, clean showers and break room
- Perform other related duties as assigned
