Job Title : Medical Assistant

Location : Lilburn Georgia

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7 : 45 AM - 4 : 45 PM

Employment Type : Full-Time

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant (MA) plays a vital role in supporting providers and ensuring the highest level of patient care. This position requires professionalism, efficiency, and experience to assist in clinical procedures, maintain patient flow, and uphold compliance and safety standards. We are seeking a seasoned MA with strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a focus on providing compassionate care in a fast-paced women's health environment.

Responsibilities / Job Duties

  • Interview patients, verify medical information, and record detailed history in the EHR.
  • Escort patients to triage or exam rooms; take vitals, weight, and medication lists.
  • Document patient history and visit information accurately.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and complete medical and procedural coding.
  • Assist providers with in-office procedures (e.g., endometrial biopsies, LLETZ, etc.).
  • Provide patient instructions as directed by the provider.
  • Stock exam rooms and ensure medical supplies are available and sterilized.
  • Perform regular checks (e.g., refrigerator temps, medication expiration, eye wash stations).
  • Troubleshoot and report equipment issues; arrange maintenance as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and education.
  • Comply with legal, clinical, and organizational standards and policies.
  • Take ownership of additional duties as assigned by the Clinical Team Leader or Practice Administrator.

Education & Certification

  • Required : High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred : Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and certification (e.g., CMA, RMA)
  • Qualifications

  • Must-Have :
  • 1+ years of hands-on Medical Assistant experience

  • Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections
  • Proficient in medical terminology, spelling, grammar, and documentation
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHRs)
  • Bilingual - Spanish (Required)
  • COVID-19 vaccination required (can be administered on Day One if not vaccinated)
  • Nice-to-Have :
  • Prior experience in an OBGYN or women's health setting
