Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Karing Hands Provider Services, LLC, is currently seeking skilled and compassionate Direct Care Staff to provide services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Schedule & Hours

Morning Shift : 6 : 15 a.m. 7 : 15 a.m.

Assist a young adolescent in preparing for the school bus while providing support so her parent can prepare for work.

Afternoon Shift : 3 : 30 p.m. 6 : 30 p.m.

Assist the adolescent off the school bus and help with her afternoon routine.

Average Weekly Hours : ~22 hours per week for direct care

As a direct support professional, you will provide assistance and guidance with :

Laundry : including but not limited to the inventory of clothing, washing, drying, folding, ironing, and storing clothing, and routine machine maintenance / cleaning.

Using durable medical equipment.

Cleaning, including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing all areas of the individual's home, including bedrooms, closets, bathrooms, kitchen, living room, laundry room, outdoor spaces, basement, and vehicles.

Personal care, including but not limited to assisting clients with eating, bathing, grooming (such as shaving, hair care, nail care, and toileting).

Provide transportation for individuals as needed using C8 and / or personal vehicles as applicable.

Maintaining a positive and supportive attitude.

Ensure documentation is completed at the end of each shift.
