Preconstruction Manager
Location : For a top Construction / GC in the Lancaster or Paoli PA region
Reports to : Director of Estimating
About the Role
As a Senior Preconstruction Manager , you’ll play a key role in shaping projects before they break ground. You’ll partner closely with clients, design teams, and trade partners to drive successful preconstruction planning — ensuring every milestone is achieved with precision, collaboration, and creativity. What You’ll Do
- Lead the Bid Process : Manage and coordinate all estimating activities, ensuring complete, accurate, and on-time bids.
- Drive Collaboration : Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and internal departments — including Business Development, Operations, and Marketing — to align on project goals and deliverables.
- Mentor and Develop Talent : Support and train Junior and Project Estimators, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of growth and accountability.
- Engage Trade Partners : Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure competitive and reliable pricing.
- Stay Proactive : Follow up on bids, clarify scope, and adjust as needed — your persistence and communication skills make the difference between winning and almost winning.
- Strategic Leadership : Evaluate risks and opportunities on bids, offering insights that position the company for success and profitability.
- Client Interaction : Lead preconstruction meetings and support presentations to clients, showcasing the team’s expertise and value.
