Job description

We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens position at a critical access hospital in California. This 98-day assignment begins on 12 / 01 / 2025, with a flexible schedule of 7am to 3pm, Monday through Friday, and optional weeknight and weekend call. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently in a hospital-based practice, managing a variety of cases including orthopedics, general surgery, endoscopies, ENT, pediatrics, and outpatient procedures. Responsibilities include administering general and regional anesthesia, performing line and airway placements, and providing comprehensive perioperative care for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients.

Job Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Provide independent anesthesia care in a hospital setting
  • Administer general and regional anesthesia, including subarachnoid, epidurals, and peripheral nerve blocks
  • Perform line and airway placements, including peripheral IV, arterial line, central venous catheter, and advanced airway management
  • Manage cases in orthopedics, general surgery, endoscopies, ENT, pediatrics, and outpatient / ambulatory procedures
  • Participate in optional 24-hour call on Saturdays and Sundays
  • Adapt to flexible scheduling, with most providers working in 7-day blocks
  • Utilize Epic electronic health record system
