About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in a stepdown or ICU department

License : Valid state nursing license required or candidate must be willing to participate in the licensure project

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required

Must-Have :

Previous charge experience preferred

Charting system experience required

Patient ratio experience : 1 : 4

Description :

Position available in a stepdown intermediate care unit.

Schedule : Days (0700-1930) 3 shifts per week.

Call requirements : Yes.

Weekend requirements : Every other weekend.

Holiday requirements : Every other holiday.

Guaranteed hours : 36 hours per week.

First-time travelers accepted.

Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from the facility.

The patient to nurse ratio is 1 : 4.

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.

Patient diagnoses include pneumonia, sepsis, congestive heart failure, post-surgical, and stroke.

Special equipment knowledge preferred is useful.

Candidates will float within the facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals depending on volume and census.

Travelers must complete up to 8 hours of modules within one week of signing.

Completion of modules is required before start.

All certification requirements must be obtained prior to beginning the position.

Unprofessional conduct or shift call-offs will result in immediate contract termination.
