What we offer
$21.62 / hr - $27.03 / hr
Compensation for this position will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. Final pay may vary depending on factors such as prior experience, expertise, and specific requirements of the role. What you'll do
Process all outgoing domestic wires for members. Enter and / or verify the information through EasCorp's EaseLink Certificate. Process all outgoing international wires for members. Enter and / or verify the information through Cambridge Mercantile Group. Post incoming wires received from EasCorp directly to member accounts.Process Share Draft files, Incoming Check Returns, Check Guardian reporting and Remote Deposit Capture.Process ACH credit and debit files, handle basic loan reversals in each file received.Process Ease-Pay releases imported from Core Services.Assist as needed in processing incoming mail.Process all IRS and Massachusetts Department of Revenue Tax Levies.Organize business account documents and files folders accordingly.Organize and review Revocable, Irrevocable and Living Trust documents after accounts have been opened by branch personnel. Verify accuracy with computer input. Forward errors to originating branch for correction. File folders accordingly.Monitor and file valid Power of Attorney documents.Responsible for maintaining credit union record retention files. In charge of receiving, logging, storing, and retrieving record retention archive boxes previously audited, packaged and labeled by individual departments. Determine when archive boxes are eligible for destruction and disseminating that information back to individual departments.Organize and retrieve any and all records in response to subpoenas, court orders and judgments in handling the release of member data.Process monthly dividend checks for members.Occasionally assist training new employees in all Operations responsibilities.Assist with processing adjustments and club slips.Maintain current knowledge of all products and services of the credit union.Type, file, scan, research and perform other miscellaneous duties as needed (i.e. filing : signature cards; IRA and Share Certificates; and other documents).Actively cross-sell credit union products and services.Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.Perform additional duties as required.Knowledge / Skills / Experience Required :
Strong desire to work in a purpose driven organization2-3 years as a teller or similar operations experience in a financial institutionA high school degree or equivalent.Courtesy and tact are essential elements of the job.Communications require shorter and not in-depth discussions most of the time.Demonstrated organizational, communication (verbal / written), and member service skills.Physical Requirements Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Working Conditions Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
Mental and / or Emotional Requirements Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and / or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
