Reporting to the Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) the APP serves as a key clinical provider and team member in the treatment and management of Intensive Care Unit patients. They practice under the direction of the Medical Director of the ICU and other Intensivists in a manner consistent with both the Massachusetts Board and hospital policy. The APP will also work collaboratively with surgeons and / or Hospitalists on the medical-surgical floor. The APP is primarily responsible for the assessment, admission, stabilization, and ongoing management of patients in the ICU under the direction of the Intensivist.
