General Description :
Provides dining service to guests seated at the bar. Takes drink orders from patrons or servers and prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes. Responsible for setup, breakdown maintenance and operation of the bar.
Specific Tasks :
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurants’ standardsProvide food and drink service to guests dining at the bar.Properly ring food into the kitchen based on standards set by the restaurant.Provide food and drink menus to all guests at the bar and be able to answer any questions.Accept guest payment, process credit cards and make change if necessaryCheck identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchasing alcohol.Clean and sterilize glassware and bar tools.Maintain cleanliness in all bar areas including backbar, sinks, shelves and storage areas.Maintain organization and cleanliness of beverage storage areas not behind the bar (liquor room, wine cellar)Ensure and assist with “bar prep” – batching cocktails, making syrups, cutting garnish, etc.Take and prepare beverage orders when they have been rung in for tables placed by service staffBalance cash drawer, tips, and receipts accuratelyAccurately prepare checkout at the end of your shift following cash handling procedures set by restaurant.Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor and related supplies.Maintain communication with management team.Report all equipment problems or product needs to management.Recognize and learn the names of regular guests.Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the entire restaurant.Complete daily opening & closing “side work” assigned by management.Take guests’ allergies with the utmost seriousness and comply with Allergy Protocol set by restaurantComply with all safety and sanitation (including handwashing) guidelines and proceduresAttend all scheduled meetings and offer suggestions for improvement.Fill-in in when needed to ensure guest service standardsPlace orders and maintain pars for bar prep needsBoka Restaurant Group operates on a seven day per week schedule, consistent and reliable attendance is mandatory.Physical Requirements
