Accounts Receivable / Cash Applications Specialist

Our client is looking for an Accounts Receivable / Cash Applications Specialist to join their accounting team and help maintain clean, accurate customer accounts. What You'll Do as the Accounts Receivable Specialist :

Accurately apply customer payments (ACH, wire, check, and credit card) to outstanding invoices.

Research and resolve unapplied cash, short-pays, chargebacks, and misapplied payments.

Partner with internal departments and customers to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Maintain accurate AR records and supporting documentation.

Assist with month-end close through reconciliations and reporting.

What You'll Bring as the Accounts Receivable Specialist :

1+ year of experience in cash applications, accounts receivable, or a related accounting function .

Proficiency in Excel (sorting, filtering; VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables a plus).

Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage a high volume of transactions.

Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

A proactive approach to identifying issues and improving processes.
