Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) within Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an exceptionally talented, motivated Manager 2 - Foundry Inventory and Logistics Manager 2 for our Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) located outside of Baltimore, Maryland where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs.

Northrop Grumman's ATL semiconductor foundry provides unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, Silicon Carbide) and providing leading edge technology development in superconducting electronics. Our devices enable multiple generations of Northrop Grumman's ground-based radars, avionic radars, and space systems. Our multidisciplinary foundry team enables activities spanning from development to sustainment process engineering. ATL is responsible for all aspects of semiconductor technology including design, mask making, wafer fabrication, test, and assembly.

Candidates must be strong team participants, have excellent communication skills, and be resourceful as well as multi-disciplinary. A strong understanding of semiconductor technology, direct process development experience and production background is essential.

What You'll Get To Do :

  • Lead the ATL Inventory and Logistics team for the ATL Foundry, overseeing all engineering production and logistics storerooms, shipping and receiving. This includes managing Foundry Logistics and ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials.
  • Collaborate with Global Supply Chain (GSC) and Quality and Manufacturing Engineering (QME) organizations to procure materials, ensuring strict compliance with regulations and Foundry directives.
  • Support the inventory, shipping and receiving team ensuring compliance with all EHSFP, IATA and DOT Transportation regulations.
  • Support the Logistics team to ensure the Equipment Engineering and Line Maintenance teams have the necessary spare parts and services.
  • Support budget planning for Foundry materials and ATL charging distribution system (CDS). Manage and define material data and documentation, including m-cards and Material Definitions, within NGMC document management systems to support foundry operations.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills, including a command of oral and written skills, multitask, and manage a team of employees with diverse skills and responsibilities.
  • Work closely across functions with GSC, QME, ATL Foundry Engineering, Finance, auditors and all business units within the ATL Foundry to align inventory levels with schedules and forecasts, minimizing material risks.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Engineering or related field and minimum of eight (8) years of experience in operations, material control, production control, manufacturing, supply chain management, and / or production environment; Master's degree with a minimum of 6 years of related experience as discussed above. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated successful people management experience.
  • Experienced in presenting to executive staff / leadership.
  • Experience with basic manufacturing and production concepts.
  • Experience in the semiconductor or related industry.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
  • Experience working in a union represented environment.
  • Experience managing functional managers and leading diverse teams - including experience managing organizations of 20 or more individuals
  • Primary Level Salary Range : $135,800.00 - $203,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
