This position will lead solutions and integration of Displays, Crew Storage, HUD, Helmet, and / or other crew systems networks solutions. The selected engineer will work in a high-performing cross functional team primarily focused on Mission Systems Crew Systems.

This position will directly report to the Core Avionics team within Mission Systems on a Phantom Works Proprietary program.

Position Responsibilities :

The lead will provide technical oversight to crew systems hardware engineers

Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design

Researches specific technology advances for potential application

Designs hardware, software, and interface specifications

Architect Network and Processing solution

Define and conduct tests to validate performance of designs to requirements

Using CAMEO / MBSE Analyze, translate, and implement requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications, showing traceability throughout the product lifecycle

Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements

Support project management by providing work statement, budget, schedule and other required inputs and by reporting project status

Interface with multiple disciplines , internal and external customers, suppliers, and multiple levels of the organization

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill / Experience) :

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Level 5 : 14+ years‘ related work experience with a bachelor‘s degree OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

Electrical engineering experience involving system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis and evaluation, verification

Experience with avionics hardware development, design, production, and project management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :

Development and qualification, physical and functional integration and design and resolving supplier technical issues

Experience with Mission Systems Crew Systems Displays

Experience with Electrical engineering involving system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis and evaluation, verification

Experience with Avionics Hardware development, design, production and project management

Typical Education / Experience :

Leve 5 :

Education / experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years‘ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range : Level 5 :

$143,650 - $194,350
