Ensuring great hardware of this complexity requires advanced tools and processes of equal complexity. In this role, you'll help to ensure that no hardware bug ever gets in the way of delight in using Apple products. You'll work with and in support of teams across Apple and across various disciplines to create innovative tools and processes to generate, categorize, analyze, and resolve bugs in silicon and pre-silicon designs.

Your role is to make validation easier, faster, and more fun, to ensure high-quality silicon and products. Primarily, your role is to build tools that increase the level of abstraction validation engineers use to interact with hardware, and with testing processes. This role requires creative abstraction of both design specifications and data extracted from systems to create innovative tools for control, visualization, and analysis of Apple products. These tools can include anything from low-level JTAG interaction with electrical IPs, to diagnosis of test results across an entire lab of tests. You will work closely with engineers across groups including validation, hardware, software, design, and architecture to comprehend current processes and find impactful ways into the adjacent and far possible.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced level of Python programming

Familiarity with computer / system / SoC architecture

Imagination for building complex processes and making useful interactive user experiences a joy to use

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience with revision control systems including at least git.
