Plush Rose Blowout Bar is seeking a confident, reliable, and professional

• Salon Manager / Hairstylist
• to join our Ft. Leonard Wood team. We are a team-based salon focused on consistency, all-textures expertise, and providing an elevated guest experience.

This is a

• 28-hour per week leadership + service role
• . We are looking for someone dependable, polished, confident behind the chair, and comfortable managing daily operations while performing services at a professional pace.
• PLEASE NOTE :
• Hours may increase after the first few months as we build momentum, gather scheduling data, and establish a consistent client flow. These starting hours reflect our launch period only.

• Salon Operating Hours (Required Availability)
• Wednesday Saturday : 10 : 00 AM 6 : 00 PM
• DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Hairstylist / Service Duties
• Perform all core salon services, including :
• Blowouts + Plush Rose finishing
• Silk press
• Shampoo + conditioning + hot towel service
• Dry cuts and trims
• Natural styling (twist-outs, braid / twist sets, loc retwists)
• Basic color (root touch-ups, glosses, toners)
• Light extension blending (clip-ins; tape-ins if trained)
• Basic facial waxing (if trained)
• Complete services within expected time frames
• Maintain a polished appearance and follow our dress code
• Deliver warm, professional client communication
• Capture simple work photos / videos (hands-only, hair-only)
• Follow all sanitation requirements (TB MED 531 & AFI 48-117)
• Keep workstations clean and organized
• Attend required training and continuously develop skills
• Salon Manager / Leadership Duties
• Serve as Manager on Duty and oversee daily operations
• Open and close the salon following Plush Rose procedures
• Support stylists, nail techs, and the front desk to ensure smooth workflow
• Keep the salon clean, organized, and well-stocked
• Handle guest concerns professionally and effectively
• Monitor team productivity and uphold Plush Rose service standards
• Assist with scheduling, onboarding, and basic HR tasks
• Ensure compliance with all base regulations and salon policies
• Communicate supply needs and maintenance issues to ownership
• Perform simple front-desk support when needed (phones, check-ins, confirmations)
• Help maintain a positive, low-drama, team-centered culture
• Learn and apply all Plush Rose systems, including our Command Center and Scoreboard tracking tools
• Accurately complete daily productivity and service tracking inside the Command Center
• Lead short daily team huddles to review goals, updates, and the service plan for the day
• Help reinforce salon standards, timing expectations, and teamwork during each shift
• QUALIFICATIONS (NON-NEGOTIABLE) Technical Requirements
• Valid cosmetology license (any U.S. state)
• Confident working with
• all hair textures
• Able to perform core services independently
• Strong blow-drying, tension, and finishing skills

This role is not for beginners. Applicants must already be efficient and confident behind the chair.

• Short in-person or virtual skills demo required if selected
• BASE CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS (Ft. Leonard Wood)
• Must serve all customers regardless of ethnicity
• License must be available for inspection
• Daily sanitation required (TB MED 531 & AFI 48-117)
• Annual skills training required
• Only approved services may be performed
• Must comply with all base rules, inspections, and protocols
