Job Overview And Responsibilities
Responsible for the implementation of resource planning best practice strategies and processes. Works closely with departmental leadership to optimize manpower resources across the airport, while adhering to labor contract constraints and meeting or exceeding service and cost targets. Manages a team of resource planning professionals responsible for running a daily resourcing operation covering thousands of airport operations employees. Optimizes manpower resources across departments for each flight schedule to support the achievement of financial and operational objectives. Responsible for short-term planning manpower delivery ensuring operational effectiveness and overall station personnel budget. Proactively identifies opportunities to improve operational and cost performance. Analyzes labor contract and potential service standard change and flight schedule change scenarios. Works with operating departments to establish shift and vacation bids that reduce service defects while controlling costs. Develop strong relationships with numerous work groups. Work closely with union representatives.
Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications) : Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline involving quantitative analysis. 2-3 years leading a team. 3+ years of relevant work experience. Strong technical skills with the ability to analyze large volumes of data. Must be flexible and willing to work in an operation which may include weekends and holidays. High level of analytical ability. Strong management and leadership skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel and power point presentations). Enthusiasm and passion for the airline industry and working in a dynamic, fast-paced operational environment. Must be flexible and willing to work rotating shifts in a 24 hour / 7 day a week operation including weekends, nights, and holidays. Must be able to have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as standing, walking or carrying / moving materials up to 50 lbs., as required. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship. Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification. Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications) : Knowledge of scheduling tools (Inform, StaffPlan). Proficiency with complex data sets and SQL. Experience with simulation software. Experience with manpower scheduling applications. Web development and data visualization skills. Experience working within a union environment. Strong knowledge of Airport Operations functions. Thorough Knowledge of operational and corporate policies and procedures & CBA.
The base pay range for this role is $64,885.00 to $84,514.00. The base salary range / hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and / or long-term incentive compensation awards.
