Job description

Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and ensure the efficiency of our production lines. The role is pivotal in collaborating with the production scheduler and supervising a team to meet production goals. This position operates on the 2nd shift, from 3 PM to finish (11 PM-12 AM), Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the production scheduler to ensure all production requirements are met.
  • Monitor all production lines daily to guarantee efficient operation.
  • Supervise Team Leads, Machine Operators, and Product and Material Handlers.
  • Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Coach, counsel, and discipline employees as needed.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain workflow by monitoring process steps.
  • Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, and resolving problems.
  • Analyze production performance records and data to work on continuous improvement and cost savings.
  • Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data and recommending actions.
  • Foster good relationships to provide feedback on work performance.
  • Conduct daily training and follow-up on product SOPs.
  • Monitor employees' work performance in collaboration with the safety manager to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Plan and facilitate departmental meetings focusing on employee safety, food safety, and departmental opportunities.

Essential Skills

  • Supervisory skills with at least 1-2 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in production management and scheduling.
  • Strong management skills in inventory and packaging line operations.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and supervise personnel fairly and consistently.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Proficient in computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Must have basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work in teams and be self-motivated.
  • Professional communication skills.
  • Ability to understand or speak Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to work mandatory Saturdays as determined by customer demand.

    Work Environment

    The work environment requires mandatory overtime hours, including some weekends and occasional holidays. Employees will work in cold and wet meat processing or packaging environments, necessitating the use of protective clothing.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Permanent position based out of Lebanon, Pennsylvania.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00 / yr. -Insurance - Health, Dental, Vision -Paid Time Off -Retirement Plan -Annual Bonus -Profit Sharing
