Job Title : Senior Data Scientist AI Agent Architectures, LLMs, NLP

Location : Woodland Hills, CA, Onsite

Rate : Best competitive rate

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Scientist with deep expertise in AI agent frameworks, large language models (LLMs), and natural language processing (NLP), particularly within the healthcare domain. You will lead the design and development of intelligent, autonomous agents leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocols and Model Context Protocols (MCP). This is a strategic, hands-on role focused on building scalable, context-aware, and interoperable AI systems in clinical and administrative healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities

Agent Frameworks :

Design and implement Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocols to enable autonomous collaboration, task delegation, and negotiation across specialized agents (e.g., ClaimsAgent, EligibilityAgent).

Model Context Protocols (MCP) :

Architect and deploy MCP pipelines that support long-lived, memory-augmented interactions for multi-turn conversations in healthcare workflows.

Multi-Agent Systems :

Build intelligent, orchestrated systems powered by LLM-driven planning to streamline clinical summarization, prior authorizations, benefit processing, and member engagement.

Domain-Specific LLM / NLP :

Fine-tune and operationalize specialized models such as medical BERT or BioGPT for clinical document understanding, intent classification, and plan personalization.

Knowledge Retrieval & Grounding :

Develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) frameworks using structured (FHIR, ICD / CPT) and unstructured sources (EHR notes, chat logs).

Compliance & Security :

Partner with engineering teams to build HIPAA-, CMS-, and NCQA-compliant pipelines with explainable AI capabilities.

Research & Innovation :

Lead prototyping in memory-based agent systems , RLHF , and context-aware AI planning .

Production Deployment :

Contribute to robust MLOps pipelines for version control, model monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

Education :

Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, NLP, or related field.

Experience :

7+ years in applied AI with a strong focus on LLMs, transformers, NLP , and agent-based frameworks in healthcare.

Proven experience with A2A protocols , LangGraph , AutoGen , or CrewAI .

Hands-on development with Model Context Protocols (MCP) and memory management architectures.

Strong programming skills in Python and libraries such as Hugging Face Transformers, PyTorch, LangChain, spaCy , etc.

Solid understanding of healthcare data standards : FHIR, HL7, ICD-10 / CPT, X12 EDI formats.

Cloud-native development experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP , with Kubernetes, Docker , and CI / CD pipelines .

Preferred Qualifications

Deep expertise in MCP + VectorDB integration for dynamic agent memory and retrieval.

Experience with production-level LLM-based agents in healthcare or enterprise settings.

Background in voice AI , AI triage tools , or automated care navigation .

Published research or patents in LLM architectures, agent systems, or contextual AI frameworks.
