Where Youll Work

At Holy Cross Hospital West Valley being a Level III Trauma Center in northwestern Salt Lake Valley allows the Perioperative Department to care for a wide range of patient needs and acuity levels. The surgical unit has 5 operating rooms including a Trauma room an Orthopedic room and a Cystoscopy room. Orthopedic Robot CORI Robotic system allowing us to provide robotically assisted total joint replacement surgery. Currently we offer 8 specialties including trauma orthopedics general surgery plastics urology GYN interventional pain Podiatry and more.

Our skilled team is cross-trained across all specialties allowing for a broader knowledge base of surgical procedures and the ability to cover any patient care needs. We strive to provide safe quality patient care and exceptional customer service to our providers. The surgical department is fully invested in the team approach to patient care. As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for :

• Facilitating communicating and collaborating with both the healthcare team and the patient / family to identify and meet the physical emotional and spiritual needs of the patient.
• Promote the optimal health well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care organizational mission and core values.
