Job descriptionAccurately verifying insurance information is correct based on the card scanned into the chart Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time Must verify insurance eligibility two days prior to surgical date as assigned by Surgical Coordinator Update the Surgical Coordinator team on insurance guidelines Scan all documents pertaining to the authorization process including surgical auth Must be able to communicate with the Surgical Coordinator and / or Front Desk team pertaining to any issues that may arise Other duties as assigned by management Candidate must have a High School Diploma Knowledge of Medical Insurance Guidelines and requirements Knowledge of medical terminology Excellent verbal and communication skills Detail oriented Excellent time management skills Medical office background experience preferred Multi-tasker Candidate should be familiar with EMR

- Completes accurate and timely insurance verification / authorization
- Communicates with insurers and other appropriate parties pertaining to insurance verification and authorization
Accurately inputs patient’s information into computer
