Job Details :

• Work in a 5-bed ICU with 3 stepdown beds
• Patient ratio typically 1 : 2, sometimes 1 : 3 depending on overflow
• May float between ICU, stepdown, and Med Surg units
• Care for patients on ventilators, bipap, airvo, bariatric surgery patients, and general surgery patients
• Administer drips including propofol, levophed, diltiazem, insulin, and heparin
• Med Surg unit has 23 beds with 1 : 5 patient ratio, up to 1 : 7
• Should have comfort caring for 3-5 patients
• Every third weekend / holiday rotation required
• EPIC EMR system experience required
• 1.5 years of ICU experience required
• Med Surg experience strongly encouraged
• Travel experience desired
• Required certifications : ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), BLS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Iowa nursing license required
• Skills checklist must be completed within 1 year of submission
• References highly preferred
