About The Position

Job Title : Ultrasound Technologist

Profession : Diagnostic Imaging

Specialty : General Abdominal / Obstetric and Small Parts

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night Shift

Hours per Shift : 36

Experience : Minimum of 3 years

License : Licensed in the State of Oregon as Ultrasonographer or Radiologic Technologist / Sonographer

Certifications : Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent approved certification

Must-Have : Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation accredited sonography program or equivalent

Description :

Provide health care services, applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment.

Perform ultrasonic imaging and related procedures in the areas of OB / GYN, abdomen, neurosonology, and / or ophthalmology.

Demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and / or intervention by a licensed practitioner.

Exercise professional judgment in the performance of services.

Maintain a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.

Apply appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

Agency nurses will be floated to other departments where they are qualified to perform patient care before core staff is floated.

Holiday coverage is required.
