Chaplain Associate, Per Diem

I. General Summary

Under general supervision serves the spiritual religious and emotional needs of patients families and employees.

II. Principal Responsibilities and Tasks

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified.

• Provides pastoral care for patients families / friends and employees of the Medical Center in accordance with departmental procedures and accepted pastoral practices.
• Provides pastoral care to patients families and staff.
• Responds to requests for pastoral care to patients families / friends and / or staff by pagers EMR consults phone and verbal referrals.
• Carries appropriate emergency pagers. Responds according to department policies and procedures.
• Provides proactive pastoral care and high visibility of service by rounding on each unit during his / her shift as time allows.
