Purpose : Portfolio Project Management is a diverse and engaged group of drug development experts purposefully leading and managing projects and the portfolio to deliver needed medicines for patients.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Facilitate and Support Asset Strategy and Delivery through Project Management Tools and Processes
  • Scope Management
  • Timeline Management
  • Cost Management
  • Communication Management
  • Information and Access Management
  • Risk Management

Leadership :

  • Demonstrate the Team Lilly behaviors of Include, Innovate, Accelerate, and Deliver
  • Model the behaviors put forth in the "On Leadership" White Paper and the LRL Innovation Leadership Profile
  • Contribute to the development of others by being an active source of coaching and feedback
  • Application / Improvement of Processes (Shared Learning)

  • Identify and leverage opportunities to capture and share insights across different functions
  • Engage in retrospective project and process review meetings to identify issues and strengths
  • Highlight and propose areas for ongoing process improvement
  • Partner with Project Management Strategy and Capabilities to identify, share, and incorporate procedures
  • Minimum Qualification Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in a health-related, scientific, or engineering field with at least 3 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, drug development or project management
  • Other Information / Additional Preferences :

  • MS / MBA / PharmD or PhD with no experience required
  • Higher degrees or certifications (e.g. MS., MBA, PharmD, PhD, Masters in Project Management, PMP)
  • Previous experience with or knowledge of drug development processes
  • Proven ability to lead effectively in complex and cross functional environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $76,500 - $140,800. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus and a comprehensive benefit program.
