Position Overview : Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic home health team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide direct patient care, implement treatment plans, monitor progress, and support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals in a home-based setting.

Key Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with the supervising Physical Therapist to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and hands-on therapy to improve patients' strength, balance, and overall function.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe, effective techniques for exercises and activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Monitor and report patient progress, updating care plans as necessary in consultation with the Physical Therapist.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Adhere to professional, ethical, and legal standards of physical therapy practice.
• Engage in continuing education to maintain professional competency and stay current with best practices.
• Coordinate care effectively with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications :

• Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active PTA license in the state of Virginia.
• Minimum of 1years of experience as a PTA; home health or rehab setting preferred.
• Strong clinical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Current CPR certification (MUST).
• Successful completion of background and drug screenings.
