Lead Licensed Vocational Nurse - Family Medicine - Hiring Incentive Available

Summary :

Join our team as a Lead Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) where you will play a crucial role in providing guidance and leadership to Medical Assistants. This position involves delivering direct, technical nursing care for patients across various stages of health, while ensuring adherence to care plans and physicians' directives. You will also coordinate patient referrals and authorization processes, all while fostering a collaborative and respectful environment with colleagues, healthcare providers, and patients.

Responsibilities :

• Identify and manage routine, urgent, or emergency situations, ensuring timely scheduling and authorization for patient treatment.
• Provide a warm welcome to all patients upon arrival, demonstrating excellent customer service and empathy, while accurately documenting necessary patient information.
• Assist physicians with patient examinations and treatments, documenting patient histories, vital signs, and chief complaints. You will perform procedures such as EKGs, stress tests, and care coordination activities with a focus on chronic and transitional care management.
• Efficiently manage authorization requests through the Managed Care System, ensuring completeness and accuracy of information entered.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for adverse reactions, documenting all relevant information in their charts.
• Perform wound care, apply dressings, and use necessary medical equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
• Collect and process patient samples for laboratory testing, maintain cleanliness in clinical areas, and order supplies as needed.
• Lead and mentor Medical Assistants to enhance patient flow and ensure efficient operations in the clinic.
• Adapt assessment and treatment methods to meet the unique needs of each patient, ensuring high-quality care across diverse populations.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and enhance patient care.
