The Veterans Health Administration provides healthcare services to America’s veterans. The VHA operates one of the largest integrated healthcare systems in the country, offering a wide range of services from preventive care to specialized treatments.

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our team in Fallon, NV. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to our veteran patients, addressing a wide range of health issues and working to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide direct patient care in a primary care setting, including diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications.
  • Develop personalized care plans and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Promote preventive health care measures and educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Utilize the VA’s electronic medical record system to document patient care and track outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications :

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States.
  • Excellent clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • A strong commitment to providing high-quality care to veteran patients.
