Responsibilities Work in various ICU units within a Level 1 Trauma Center, including Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU May float to Med / Surg units or between different ICU units as needed Night shift schedule, working 3x12 hour shifts from 7 : 00 p.m. to 7 : 30 a.m. Required to work every other weekend, totaling two weekends per month No block scheduling or special scheduling requests allowed Mandatory floating may include assignment to any Cook facility within a 50-mile radius, sometimes with short notice Charting is done with Cerner; prior experience is not required but may be beneficial Navy blue scrubs required; scrubs are not provided Duties include patient care, critical monitoring, and coordination in the ICU and potentially Med / Surg units as required Strict compliance standards, including timely completion of lab work and documentation before orientation Up to 5 days of time off allowed with no more than 2 consecutive days and no time off on weekends, holidays, or the days immediately surrounding holidays Holiday coverage is required and missing a holiday may result in contract cancellation Team-based support will be provided when floating outside primary competency Parking available at a nearby facility with shuttle transportation provided Requirements Active IL RN license, in hand at the time of consideration Minimum 2 years recent acute care ICU experience required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Must provide proof of COVID vaccination before start date Locals accepted; candidates must live within a 75-mile radius to be considered local Pending licenses are not accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626243.
