Security Guard - Shelter Unarmed Patrol Officer

As a Security Guard - Shelter Unarmed Patrol Officer in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Pay Rate : $18.02 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Wed 07 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

Fri 11 : 30 PM - 07 : 30 AM

Sat 11 : 30 PM - 07 : 30 AM

Sun 03 : 30 PM - 11 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients and residents by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the shelter environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any security-related concerns, hazards, or incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with on-site staff and local authorities as required to address and resolve incidents and / or emergencies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and patrols as required by Allied Universal procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
