- Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals and document patient progress.
- Provide early intervention services for children with speech and language delays.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, educators, and families to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about speech therapy techniques and strategies to support progress at home.
- Maintain accurate records of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech therapy, pediatrics, and related fields.
- Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech production.
- Experience in Geriatrics a plus
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and familiarity with medical terminology.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care through evidence-based practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
