School Nurse

TITLE : SCHOOL NURSE

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Valid state license to practice as a registered nurse.
• Valid certification as a public school nurse and any other certificate required by state.
• Two (2) years minimum experience in public health nursing, preferably in a school district.

REPORTS TO :

High School Principal or designee

SUPERVISES :

No direct supervisory responsibilities.

JOB GOAL :

To provide the fullest possible educational opportunity for each district student by minimizing absence due to illness and creating a climate of health and well-being in the district schools.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT :

Ten-month year. Salary and benefits in accordance with SCVTEA negotiated agreement.
