Kanban Analyst I

A Kanban Analyst I must have a good understanding of inventory control and materials management in a material flow environment that employs material pull processes in place of work order kitting. A good understanding of how the pull process works with minimal transactions in a repetitive manufacturing process as part of the MRP configuration and environment is also important to this role. The Kanban Analyst I supports the design and execution of Kanban material replenishment systems under supervision. This entry-level role focuses on learning and applying basic inventory control, materials management, and pull-based manufacturing concepts while assisting with data maintenance and process improvement activities.

Duties and responsibilities / essential functions include :

• Support the implementation and daily operation of Kanban systems
• Collect and analyze basic inventory and replenishment data
• Assist in monitoring inventory flow and identifying material shortages
• Participate in training and continuous improvement activities
• Collaborate with planners and material handlers to maintain part availability
