Job description0700-1730 for weekend coverageCardiac sonographer will work 10 hour shift and will scan 9 patients per day on average. Sonographer will be expected to perform bedside studies as well as patients who come to the dept. (both inpatient and outpatient). Sonographer will be expected to participate in weekend rotation which typically means every 6th weekend. When working a weekend, sonographer will be expected to take adult echo call after hours. Sonographer will be on call the Friday-Sunday that their weekend is scheduled. Sonographer may also be expected to pick up a day of call during the week if needed. Sonographer must live within a 60 mile radius of the hospital.May work an eight hour shift if needed 0800-1630Daily Caseload : 8-10 pts / day Patient Age Group : Adults and Geriatrics Work Setting Experience : Outpatient, Inpatient, Teaching Hospital General Skills Experience : Portables are both required while TEEs is preferred Echo Procedure Experience : Bubble Study, Contrast Agents, RIT / RVOT Equipment / Scanner Experience Preferred : Phillips EPIC Certifications / Licenses : BLS, RDCS- Adult, RCS Minimum Experience Required : three years of experience in a large tertiary care center is required; may screen if strong skill set and less than three years of experience.
