Job Title : Mechanical Plumber

Job Description

A Mechanical Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial plumbing systems. This role includes reading blueprints, installing pipe systems, and conducting system tests. Key duties involve collaborating with project teams, ensuring safety standards are met, and providing on-the-job training for apprentices. The position requires strong mechanical knowledge of commercial plumbing, adherence to safety and building codes, and effective communication skills to work with clients and other trades.

Responsibilities

• Install water supply, waste, and drainage systems in commercial buildings and troubleshoot issues in various plumbing systems.
• Conduct pressure and leak tests to ensure system integrity.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building codes for installations.
• Work with project managers, foremen, and other trades to ensure projects stay on schedule.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA safety standards, and potentially conduct safety briefings.
• Maintain accurate logs, as-built documents, and track material usage.

Work Environment

The position involves ground-up construction building work. Candidates will work on projects from Silver Spring to Harford County, MD, and must be willing to travel to these job sites. Efforts will be made to keep work locations close to candidates' residences.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hunt Valley, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00 / hr.
