As a Dental Care Assistant at Tend, you'll be an essential part of delivering a seamless and patient-focused experience in our modern dental studio. You'll provide crucial chairside support during a variety of procedures, uphold safety and sterilization protocols, and ensure our studio operates efficiently. This is a perfect role for enthusiastic dental assistants eager to grow their clinical skills, collaborate with a dynamic team, and be recognized for their outstanding performance. Your Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional chairside support to dentists and hygienists during various procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment according to OSHA and CDC infection control standards.
  • Ensure patients feel comfortable, informed, and well cared for throughout their visits.
  • Anticipate the needs of your team to enhance studio efficiency.
  • Collaborate with your colleagues to achieve studio performance goals while upholding our highest standards of patient care.
  • Engage in continuous training and development to stay updated with modern technologies and workflows.

  • Your Qualifications

  • All mandatory state certifications, registrations, or licenses for dental assistants.
  • Current CPR / BLS certification.
  • Proven knowledge and skills in chairside assistance and patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and workflows in a modern dental setting.
  • A strong desire to be part of a collaborative and high-achieving team.
  • Availability for a full-time schedule (32-40 hours per week including some Saturdays) or a part-time schedule (2-3 days per week including some Saturdays).
  • Physical Requirements

    This role involves the following essential functions, which can be performed with or without reasonable accommodation :

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods during dental procedures.
  • Manual dexterity and fine motor skills for precise handling of dental instruments.
  • Sound vision to read charts, interpret radiographs, and operate clinical equipment.
  • Capability to bend, reach, and maintain ergonomic positions when providing patient care.
  • Occasional lifting of equipment and supplies up to 25 pounds.
  • Effective communication skills with patients, team members, and other healthcare professionals, both in-person and via technology.
