- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)

- Veterinarian Instructor

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the existing instructional team and play a vital role in program oversight, student skill development, and institutional leadership. This is a highly rewarding teaching opportunity for a veterinarian who is passionate about education and mentorship.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver engaging classroom, lab, and clinical instruction in accordance with CVTEA essential skills requirements.
- Work with Program Director, maintaining compliance with AVMA-CVTEA policies and guidelines, including curriculum oversight, documentation, and accreditation reports.
- Supervise and evaluate faculty, ensuring effective instruction and support of student learning outcomes.
- Provide leadership in curriculum development, program assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a role model and mentor to students, promoting professionalism, compassion, and technical competence.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports required by regulatory and accrediting bodies.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and institutional events.
- Required Qualifications :
- Licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in the state of Missouri (or eligible for licensure).
- Current DEA license.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in veterinary medicine.
- Demonstrated knowledge of small animal veterinary medicine; large animal experience is a plus but not required.
- Passion for education with excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Enthusiastic, approachable, and student-centered teaching philosophy.
- Familiarity with CVTEA essential skills and accreditation processes (or willingness to learn).
- Preferred Qualifications :
- Prior teaching or academic leadership experience.
- Experience in both small and large animal medicine.
- Previous involvement with program accreditation or curriculum development.
