Description :

The position involves caring for low to moderate-risk laboring patients, antepartum patients, and postpartum patients and their newborns.

Staff will triage patients in designated triage rooms and provide medical screenings.

Responsibilities include circulating and recovering patients from C-sections in designated areas.

Candidates should be comfortable initiating NRP for low to moderate-risk deliveries, including starting CPAP and PPV until assistance arrives.

Essential skills include IV placement, triage, and patient monitoring.

The unit provides care for different patient age groups, specifically neonates and adults.

Daily census is manageable with designated patient ratios of 1 : 1 to 1 : 3.

Interdisciplinary support is available from various services to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Candidates should expect to float within the hospital as necessary.
