Responsibilities
- Public Relations & Media Outreach
Develop and execute local and regional PR campaigns to support hospital growth.
Draft press releases, media alerts, and pitch stories to local media outlets.Build and maintain relationships with local journalists, influencers, and community partners.Monitor media coverage and provide regular PR performance reports.Community Engagement & Event PlanningSupport planning and execution of community events, hospital open houses, spay, neuter and vaccine clinics, and sponsorships.
Coordinate with local hospitals to identify opportunities for grassroots marketing and engagement.Serve as a liaison between corporate marketing and hospital teams to ensure brand alignment in local activations.Brand Awareness & SupportAssist hospitals in implementing localized marketing strategies to improve visibility and reputation.
Provide guidance and resources for local social media efforts and community involvement.Collaboration & CommunicationWork closely with the marketing, operations, and hospital leadership teams to align community and PR efforts with company goals.
Create toolkits, templates, and best practice guides for local teams to use in their engagement efforts.Maintain a calendar of community and PR activities across all locations.Track the effectiveness of these efforts to report on the return on investment.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field3+ years of experience in public relations and community engagementExperience coordinating grassroots marketing events and collaborating with local media outletsExperience in a high-growth, multi-site organization is highly preferredExceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skillsStrong multi-tasking and time management skillsProficient in Excel, Canva / Adobe Creative Suite, PR distribution platforms, social media management tools, Google Ads and email marketing software.Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaborativelyPassion for pets and a foundational understanding of the veterinary industry is a plusWillingness to travel as neededBenefits
