Overview

In the role of Project Designer, you will contribute to architectural projects under the direction of the Design Principal and in close collaboration with the project team.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for design of architectural projects under the direction of the Design Principal and in close collaboration with the project team.
• Independently develop alternative concepts and key components of complex projects.
• Develop materials and participate in client presentations, internal critiques and reviews with government agencies for project approvals.
• Understand code and cost implications of design decisions to ensure proposals are viable and compliant with project goals.
• Independently coordinate design with the multidiscipline project team through multiple phases of a project.
• Conduct internal design / work sessions with the Design Principal and Project Manager, coordinating with other disciplines.
• Coordinate workload of team members through multiple phases to complete design deliverables on schedule.
• Review architectural documents for areas of design conflict with the Project Architect and other disciplines.
• Write and edit architectural specifications for key design materials and systems, working with the Project Architect and Project Manager.
• Incorporate agreed-upon changes into project documents.
• Provide construction contract administration assistance as needed to maintain design intent through construction.
• Direct the activities of junior designers and mentor staff as needed.
• Contribute to the design culture of the studio.
• Perform other duties as needed.

The compensation range for this position is $103,376.00 - $147,680.00 annually, depending on skills, experience, education, and location.
