Supervisory Responsibilities :

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Assist with General Ledger functions of the accounting department
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
Knowledge of costing and inventory accounting. Be responsible for accurate product costing, managing inventory valuation, and performing variance analysis between standard and actual costs. Assist in Inventory counts.
Lead the month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Process and Record Journal Entries
Reconcile various Balance Sheet accounts, including prepaid, accruals, and fixed assets
Maintain various schedules, including CIP and maintenance expense
Prepare payroll entries monthly
Assist in annual audit
Assist with Sales Tax calculations and quarterly returns
Maintain the schedule of Capital Purchases
Requirements :
Required Skills and Abilities :
Minimum of 3 years experience in a senior accountant or controller position within the aerospace industry
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Advanced Excel skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Willingness to learn
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Educational Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Required : Compliant with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. Person status (ITAR defines U.S. Person as a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.)
