Overview We are seeking a full-time Systems Test Engineer 2 in our Chandler, AZ location. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting conception, development, and / or application of sophisticated avionics systems by providing system testing support for moderately complex integrated flight deck programs and / or retrofit product lines. This role also identifies and implements improvements to system testing processes and tools. Essential Functions Experience integrating avionics hardware in bench-top or simulated aircraft environments Understanding of aircraft system architectures and avionics communication flows Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting avionics line-replaceable units (LRUs) Experience developing, executing, and documenting functional test procedures Skills in creating or maintaining lab benches that simulate aircraft operational conditions Communicates status and schedule for the system testing needs applicable to planned deliveries Provides feedback to development teams to ensure solutions are designed to meet system testing needs Provides troubleshooting support to identify the system root cause Provides clear and sufficient details on issues sufficient for internal or external customers Identifies and implement improvements to system testing processes and guidance Identifies improvements and modifies tools for use in system testing May set up and operate 3rd party equipment May identify and coordinate updates and / or improvements to integration bench setups Provides reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques Applies a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities to develop timely solutions Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or another related field AND a minimum of 1 year relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) Demonstrates knowledge of several complex integrated avionic functions Demonstrates mastery of relevant tools for use in system testing Demonstrates advanced troubleshooting skills Demonstrates knowledge of requirements for simulator qualification Driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others Desired Qualifications Experience with log analysis tools and data visualization (e.g., Wireshark, Python, or similar) Comfortable writing test scripts or automation tools (Python, Bash, etc.) Previous work or internship experience with Garmin related products Pilot's License (Aviation Only) Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
