Department : User Support Services Salary : $12.00 per hour
Description :
This position is at the UHD Northwest Campus
Duties :
- Monitors the operation of the general computer lab and assists with software installations if needed
- Greets students as they come into the general computer area and provides first-tier user support to students and faculty
- Provides data entry for the Help Desk Ticketing System
- Performs opening and / or closing procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Must have good telephone etiquette and good customer service skillsKnowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Internet browsers, MS Office Professional Suite, and other applicationsMust be a self-starter in exercising initiative and have the ability to get things done by performing daily tasks effectivelySolve basic routine Software and Hardware issues as necessaryQualifications :
Must be a UHD studentMust be able to work the evening shift (4 pm to 9 pm) and / or split shiftExperience requirements : Less than one yearMust provide a resume and current UHD class scheduleAll positions at the University of Houston-System are security sensitive and will require a criminal history check.
