Waubonsee Community College’s Business, Technology, andWorkforce Education Division is currently seeking an adjunct instructorfor Shielded Metal Arc PipeWelding. More assignments may become available and will be updated here.
Welding120.002 Shielded Metal Arc Welding I, Sugar Grove Mondays, 1 : 30-5 : 30 pm, 16 weeks
Adjunct faculty members are responsible for delivering curriculum, providinginstruction, and performing student learning assessment. The successfulcandidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively use instructional andclassroom technology to enhance teaching and learning. Courses at WaubonseeCommunity College may be offered in various delivery modes including, but notlimited to, face-to-face, asynchronous online, synchronous online, hybrid, andflex.
Essential functions of this position include, but are notlimited to :
Designing syllabi, lessons, activities, assignments, andassessments to meet the established course description as well as program,course, and college learning outcomes and / or objectives while addressing eachstudent’s needs as diverse learners.
Meeting all college deadlines for submission of attendance, grades and datacollection for assessment of student learning.
Incorporating learning-centered principles and concepts while motivatingstudents to actively participate in their educational experiences.
Integrating instructional and classroom technology (if applicable)appropriately and effectively to deliver and enhance teaching and learning.
Working collaboratively with professional colleagues to serve the needs ofstudents and the community.
Modeling professionalism with excellent communication, presentation, andinterpersonal skills.
Minimum Experience
Associate's degree in Industrial Technology or related fieldand / or industry certification(s) and 4000 hours of work-related experience inthe field.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience teaching welding technology, or a related field, at a CommunityCollege or Vocational / Technical institution.
Experience teaching traditionally underserved populations.
Experience incorporating technology and multimedia applications into theteaching and learning process.
Experience in teaching in multiple instructional modalities.
Experience in utilizing Learning Management Systems.
