Description :

New Tech Global is seeking a Thermal Spray Operator for a manufacturing client in Cleveland, TX.

Shift : 1st Shift (Typically 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM, Monday–Friday)

Pay Range : $25+ (based on experience and qualifications)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Thermal Spray Operator with plasma spray experience to join our surface technology team on 1st shift. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in operating thermal spray equipment and applying advanced coatings to metal components in a precision manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Set up, calibrate, and operate plasma spray equipment to apply thermal coatings to metal surfaces

Prepare parts for coating (masking, grit blasting, cleaning)

Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and process specifications

Conduct in-process inspections to verify coating thickness and surface finish using micrometers, calipers, and other gauges

Troubleshoot and adjust spray parameters as needed to ensure quality

Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols

Record process data and complete production documentation

Assist in equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting

Qualifications :

High school diploma or GED required; technical training a plus

2+ years of experience with thermal spray processes, especially plasma spray

Strong understanding of coating applications and surface prep techniques

Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed work instructions

Familiarity with HVOF or HVAF a plus

Good manual dexterity and attention to detail

Strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork

Physical Requirements :

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Tolerance to high-temperature environments (with PPE)

Comfortable working around industrial equipment and coatings
