Job descriptionHelp with the maintenance and repair of bunkers, including raking and edging. Participate in the application of fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides as directed. Irrigation and Water Management : Help with the installation and repair of irrigation components and systems. Equipment Operation : Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition. General Maintenance Tasks : Help with debris removal and clean-up of the course, including fallen branches and trash. Support special projects and course improvements as directed by the Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent. Safety and Compliance : Adhere to environmental regulations and best practices in the application of chemicals and management of resources. Team Collaboration : Communicate any equipment or course issues to supervisors promptly. Education : High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience : Prior experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or golf course maintenance is a plus but not required. Skills : Basic knowledge of turf management and landscaping practices is beneficial. Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work well in a team environment. Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions. Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain. About Us : The Fall Line is a premier private destination golf and sporting club located in Southwest Georgia. Our club offers state-of-the-art facilities, including two Ogilvy, Cocking and Mead–designed 18-hole golf courses, a 9-hole short course, and world-class facilities for shooting, hunting, and angling. In addition to our outstanding outdoor offerings, we pride ourselves on exceptional hospitality, with multiple dining and lodging options, all enhanced by our 25-acre farm that serves as the centerpiece of our 4,500-acre property.
Position Summary : The Golf Course Maintenance Staff will perform various tasks related to the upkeep and maintenance of the golf course. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions to ensure the course remains in top condition. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Course Maintenance :
Assist in mowing, trimming, and edging of greens, fairways, tees, and roughs.
Assist with the operation and maintenance of the irrigation system, including monitoring and adjusting as needed.
Operate various golf course maintenance equipment, including mowers, tractors, and sprayers, safely and efficiently.
Assist with general landscaping tasks, including planting, weeding, and mulching.
Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Work closely with other maintenance staff and supervisors to ensure effective and efficient operations.
Qualifications :
Ability to operate and maintain golf course equipment safely.
