Position Title : Distribution Team Member

Reporting Relationship : Distribution Manager

Job Status : Hourly / Full-time

Location : Holton KS

Primary Accountabilities :

Responsible for assigned warehouse duties including shipping and receiving unloading and loading trucks fulfilling orders and delivery. This position will work Monday through Friday.

Major Duties :

  • Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety codes.
  • Assist Distribution Manager with the following tasks :

Receive trucks and unload merchandise.

  • Check-in merchandise and affix labels.
  • Match purchase orders to sales orders.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and provide a positive experience with each interaction with customers.
  • Assist with fulfilling customer orders.
  • Move materials off racks and package for shipment.
  • Place merchandise on pallets or shelves for distribution
  • Record amounts of materials or items received.
  • Sort material according to size type style color and / or product code

    • Requirements :

  • Valid Drivers License is required and must be insurable.
  • Ability to achieve forklift certification upon hire.
  • Ability to successfully pass pre-employment background check drug screen and a Physical Capabilities Profile assessment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks.

    • Physical Demands :

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Frequent standing walking stooping kneeling crouching or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and / or move objects up to 10 pounds frequently lift and / or move objects up to 55 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    • Work Environment :

  • Normal office environment but may be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold)
  • Frequent activity : Sitting Viewing at computer screen.
  • Occasional activity : Standing walking bending climbing reaching above shoulder pushing pulling.
  • This position works in a warehouse setting with some exposure to the outdoors and variable temperatures.
  • Routinely uses standards office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers and standard warehouse equipment such as automated equipment box cutters pallet jacks and tape dispensers.
