Job descriptionOrientation twice monthly at Duke Lifepoint Hospital with 355 beds. Facility includes Frye Regional Brain Center, Cancer Center, Heart Center, Lung Center, Orthopedics, General & Vascular Surgery, Surgical Weight Loss, Women's Center, and Level 3 NICU. 32 bed Emergency Department, 29 bed inpatient rehab, 15 bed surgical suite & imaging. Frye South Campus includes an 81 bed adult Behavioral Health Hospital. Unit Profile : CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit) on 2nd floor, Trauma Level 3. Position : Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in CABG, TAVR, STEMI, Carotids. Number of Openings : Not specified. Weekly Guaranteed Hours : 36. Weekend Hours : every other weekend or as needed by facility. No on-call requirements. Float Requirements : per scheduled rotation. Unit Information : 8 beds, patient ratios 2 : 1 with occasional 1 : 1. Equipment includes Impella, IABP, CRRT. Electronic Health Record system : Cerner. Patient Population : Adult / Geriatric. Common Diagnoses / Treatments : CABG, TAVR, STEMI, Carotids. Preferred Skills : CVICU experience. Personality Fit : strong critical thinking skills. Required Education : Associate Nursing Degree. Dress Code : professional scrubs of any color. Minimum 1.5 years of experience. Must have at least 1 year CVICU experience after orientation. Preferred certification : CCRN. Required certifications : ACLS, BLS. Shift details not explicitly specified. 36 guaranteed weekly hours. Weekend work every other weekend or as needed. No on-call requirements.
